Privacy Policy

Who we are

Run it Back is an independent app operated by Germain Preston. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Run it Back mobile and web app ("the App").

What we collect

Account information

When you sign up, we collect your email address and a password (stored securely via Supabase Auth).

Contact data you enter

When you scan a LinkedIn QR code or add a contact manually, we store:

Name, job title, company
LinkedIn profile URL
Event name and scan date
Conversation notes, follow-up intentions, and private notes you write

This data belongs to you and is only accessible by your account.

Camera

The App requests access to your camera solely to scan LinkedIn QR codes. We do not store, transmit, or process any camera images or video.

Notifications

If you enable follow-up reminders, we store your reminder preferences locally on your device and use them to schedule local push notifications. We do not use notifications for marketing.

Usage data

We may collect basic usage information (e.g. app crashes, errors) through Expo and Supabase to improve the App. This data is anonymized and not linked to your identity.

How we use your data

To provide and operate the App
To sync your contacts across devices
To send account-related emails (password reset, login verification)
To schedule follow-up reminders you set
To fix bugs and improve performance

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

Data storage & security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted on AWS infrastructure. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.

We enforce row-level security — your data is only accessible to your account. No other user can read your contacts or notes.

Data retention

We retain your data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is permanently deleted within 30 days. You can request deletion at any time by emailing privacy@runitback.io.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate the App:

SupabaseDatabase, authentication, and storage

ExpoMobile app infrastructure and push notifications

Forward EmailTransactional email delivery

VercelWeb app hosting

Each service has its own privacy policy. We only share data with these services as necessary to operate the App.

Your rights

You have the right to:

Access the data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Export your data

Children's privacy

Run it Back is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it immediately.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you via email or a notice in the App. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
